| Can Sorbact be used on all kinds of colonised or infected wound? |

Can Sorbact also be used on clean wounds? |
Yes, to avoid contamination and thereby infection – post-operatively, for example |

Must Sorbact be in direct contact with the surface of the wound for the bacteria to bind to it? |

Yes. Sorbact’s green, hydrophobic surface must be in direct contact with the surface of the wound. |
If Sorbact sticks to the surface of the wound, what is the best way of removing the dressing? |

If possible, use a saline solution.
Use a Sorbact gel compress at the next dressing change to minimise the risk of the dressing getting stuck.

Can Sorbact cause skin irritation or allergy? |

No. Sorbact contains no irritating or allergenic substances. |
Can Sorbact be used in conjunction with the simultaneous administration of antibiotics? |

Yes, but not in conjunction with topical treatment. |
Can Sorbact come into contact with healthy skin? |
|
Yes, with the exception of the gel compress which should only come into contact with the surface of the wound. |
Can a protective ointment be applied to the edges of the wound? |
|
Greasy creams or ointments should be used sparingly. It is best to use silicone protection. |
Is there any risk that resistance will develop when using Sorbact? |
