The Sorbact method is based on a natural process, hydrophobic interaction. This means that two hydrophobic (water-repellent) surfaces bind to one another in the presence of water (exudate).
The vast majority of pathogenic microorganisms are hydrophobic and bind to Sorbact’s hydrophobic surface.
Sorbact is a well-documented method that binds and inactivates pathogenic micro-organisms without any known side-effects.

Sorbact is applied to the wound.

Hydrophobic bacteria and fungus bind to Sorbact’s hydrophobic surface.

The dressing is changed, accompanied by the bacteria and fungus that have bound to the dressing.
